Moving stained glass that makes each moment in life colorful.

With Shiseido corporate message “This moment. This life. Beautiful” as the basis, Shiseido Advertising and Design Department and PARTY collaborated to create an interactive installation for “making each of life’s moments colorful.”

For the physical installation, we disassembled semi-transparent LCD monitors to recreate the vibrancy and textures of stained glass. When passersby stand in front the installation and have their selfie taken, the photographed images are transformed into digital stained glass.

On the website version, after users connect to their Facebook accounts, “anniversary moments” and “random moments” are selected from their timelines and displayed on the windows of the handmade miniature “stained glass house” model. Users could experience these moments via live-streaming.

Visits to the installation and website combined generated a total of 50,000 stained glass moments.
